The forestry company SCA reports an operating profit of 1.6 billion kronor. This can be compared to the expected 1.1 billion kronor, according to Bloomberg's compilation.

Last year, the result was around 2 billion kronor for the third quarter. The company points out that the decrease is mainly due to negative currency effects, planned maintenance stops and lower sales prices.

The revenues amounted to 4.9 billion kronor at the same time. Here, the expectations were 5.2 billion kronor.

The forest industry has had a tough time for a while and several companies, including Billerud and Rottneros, have announced savings programs.

SCA's share is also a loser on the Stockholm stock exchange so far this year with a decline of almost 10 percent since the turn of the year.
