Ukraine's security service SBU says it has tracked down and killed two Russian agents in the Kyiv region. The two are suspected of having shot dead a high-ranking Ukrainian intelligence officer in Kyiv on Thursday.
The Russian agents put up resistance when they were to be arrested and were therefore shot, according to SBU.
SBU previously announced that a man and a woman are suspected of being involved in the murder of the colonel. The murder was captured by surveillance cameras.
SBU Colonel Ivan Voronytj was involved in Ukraine's operation in Russian Kursk, and is said to have helped organize the lightning strike into the Russian region last year, according to Ukrainian media.
