The attacks have been carried out in the western part of the country on the Red Sea, where the Iran-backed group has strongholds, according to the movement's military spokesman, Yahya Saree.
The Houthi movement stated earlier on Wednesday that it had shot down a Saudi fighter jet.
The Saudi Arabian military announced that it had shot down a drone heading towards Mecca. Turki al-Maliki, a spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, said the drone came from the Houthi movement in Yemen. Hazem al-Assad, a member of the Houthi politburo, dismissed the Mecca attack as “a well-worn lie” on Sunday.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), of which Saudi Arabia is a member, condemned in a statement "the heinous attacks" against Mecca.
