The airline SAS offers today 24 hours open purchase on flight tickets. But from and with August 27, it is the end of the cost-free cancellation, reports Expressen with reference to the Norwegian travel site Jetlag.
”The rule of 24 hours cancellation will be removed for tickets purchased on or after this date, with the exception of tickets to or from the USA, where the regulations will be followed according to statutory requirements”, writes the airline on its website.
The exception for the USA is due to the fact that American authorities require that travelers have 24 hours right to full refund of tickets purchased at least seven days before departure.
According to Jetlag, the change is a part of SAS adaptation to the airline alliance Skyteam and the new part-owners Air France and KLM.
