There will be around 120 departures, the company told Norwegian television channel NRK.
"We are doing this to meet increased demand during Easter. Most of the flights are to Spain, and then from all the Nordic countries," Satha Sritharan told NRK.
SAS said on Tuesday it was forced to make the decision because of soaring fuel prices, which are hitting the company hard.
