In recent weeks, intelligence services in several NATO countries have raised the alarm that Russia is escalating hybrid warfare against the West, with the aim of intimidating and undermining support for Ukraine in the ongoing war.
“No corresponding message”
The German government has pointed to Russia as responsible for an attempted drone attack on an airport in Leipzig in August, and in an interview in the newspaper Berlingske, Emil Græsholm, head of counterintelligence at the Danish Security and Intelligence Service, warns that Russia has tried to recruit Danish citizens to carry out various types of missions on Russia's behalf.
The Swedish Security Service, Säpo, does not want to confirm that it has seen similar incidents in Sweden.
"We have no corresponding information from our side. But I cannot go into exactly what we see in our intelligence work," Säpo's press spokesman Jonathan Svensson told TT.
According to Jonathan Svensson, Säpo has not reassessed the threat picture against Sweden.

We have pointed out for many years that Russia has become more risk-averse and aggressive, even outside the conflict area in Ukraine.
Following the situation
Säpo is closely monitoring developments in the security situation in Europe, says Svensson.
We have close cooperation with security services in other countries, not least with our Nordic colleagues, he says.
