Djurgården has lost points in several matches during the Allsvenskan season opener when the Stockholm team combined league play with European success.
On Monday, the team's third win in seven matches came when IFK Göteborg was defeated 2–1 away.
The Finnish striker Santeri Haarala became the match hero.
I think everyone had energy and that we raised the standard of how we've played so far this season, he says to Max.
In the fourth minute, the 25-year-old dribbled past "Blåvitt" Anders Trondsen and served Tokmac Nguen. The striker then lifted the ball up to himself and scored 1–0 for the away team already in the fourth minute.
After the home team equalized later in the first half through an own goal by Marcus Danielson, Djurgården's winning goal came in the 77th minute.
Substitute Tobias Gulliksen pulled off an unexpected shot from the right flank that Elias Bishesari, the long-term injured Pontus Dahlberg's replacement in the Göteborg goal, blocked. However, the ball didn't go any further than to Haarala, who cleverly scored his first Allsvenskan goal this year.
My goal wasn't the prettiest. But it was a winning goal, he says.
In a stuttering and even table, Djurgården made a giant leap, from relegation spot to sixth place, and have additionally one match less played, seven. IFK Göteborg is eleventh with eight matches played.
