”Trion” will be a major drama effort from SkyShowtime and the next Swedish role for German-Swedish August Wittgenstein, who has been seen in the TV series ”Trolösa” and ”Doktrinen” lately. For Felix Sandman, ”Trion” will be the first Swedish TV series he does since the Netflix success ”Störst av allt”.
Seth Manteus and Rebecka Harper are also among the first names in the cast list that SkyShowtime is now releasing.
”Trion” is Johanna Hedman's debut novel and received a lot of attention even before it was published in 2021, thanks to great international interest in advance and comparisons with authors like Sally Rooney.
The novel is about the rich man's daughter Thora and her boyfriend August who get to know the older Hugo when he becomes a lodger with her parents, whom he has known before.
The script for the series is written by Veronica Zaggo and Anders Hazelius is directing. The recordings have just begun.
”I first fell in love with film as a medium through grand, epic love stories. With the series ’Trion’ I finally get the chance to direct such a story myself”, says Hazelius in a written comment.
