Sandis Vilmanis’ four-point night leads Florida past Chicago in 5-3 win

Florida's Sandis Vilmanis almost single-handedly brought down Chicago - the Latvian talent tallied four points in the 5-3 win.

It took Vilmanis less than five minutes to score his first point. Assisted by Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe, the 22-year-old scored his second goal of the season, putting Florida 1-0 ahead of Spencer Knight.

Vilmanis had never scored more than one point in an NHL game. When the referee blew the final whistle at Amerant Bank Arena, he had two goals and two assists.

The loss was another blow for Chicago, which continues its dismal run with just four wins in 16 games.
