Swedish super talent Ivar Stenberg has been selected by San Jose in the first round, making him the second overall pick in the NHL draft.
The 18-year-old is coming off a strong season with Frölunda and appearances at the World Junior Championship and the senior World Championships.
The big favorite was Gavin McKenna from Canada, who was selected by Toronto. Canadian pop star Justin Bieber was on hand to announce the first pick.
