Samsung union approves agreement - strike called off

The strike is considered to have had major consequences for the global supply of memory chips - which are used in everything from phones to electric vehicles and computers - and Samsung is one of the world's largest manufacturers.

Approximately 74 percent of the union's members have approved the negotiated agreement, which means personnel working with memory chips will receive an average bonus equivalent to just over three million kronor, depending on whether the company's profit target is reached, according to Bloomberg.
