Dua Lipa sued the company last week for using the image, which the lawsuit says she owns, without her permission. She is seeking the equivalent of approximately SEK 138 million from Samsung.
Samsung has responded that the image was provided by a third party who guaranteed that the image was okay to use.
Furthermore, the company said in a statement that it has "actively sought and continues to be open to a constructive solution" with Lipa.
