Australian Sam Kerr was a major contributor to Chelsea's Super League titles between 2020 and 2022. However, her contract will not be extended when it expires after the season.
"When I think back on my time at Chelsea and doing it for the last time (Saturday's match against Manchester United), I just feel joy," Kerr said in the press release.
Kerr has played 157 games for the Blues, scoring 115 goals. A cruciate ligament injury sidelined the 32-year-old for 20 months before she made a comeback this season.
If Kerr scores a goal for Chelsea in her final match, she will tie Fran Kirby's club record.
Kerr was charged last year with racist remarks but was acquitted in court.
