Luca Guadagnino's allegedly AI-critical film "Artificial" about the controversial Sam Altman (played by Andrew Garfield) was put on hold by film company Amazon MGM at the end of June. This after parent company Amazon entered into a partnership with OpenAI to expand the use of Amazon's cloud service and develop customised AI models.
Now it is clear that "Artificial" will actually premiere at the end of the year, when distributor Neon has picked it up.
The film is about Sam Altman's departure from OpenAI in 2023 and his return as CEO.
