Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Eggs Affects Multiple Regions

The salmonella outbreak that has been detected in Sörmland, where several people in nursing homes have been affected, is part of a larger outbreak linked to eggs.

In a press release, the Public Health Agency writes that at least 48 cases in eleven of the country's regions have been confirmed as part of the outbreak, 18 of them are in Sörmland.

The eggs were recalled by the manufacturer at the end of August.
