Salmon companies fell sharply on the Oslo Stock Exchange after Faroese Bakkafrost reported weak interim figures.
The operating profit of DKK 272.6 million was well below market expectations, which averaged DKK 409 million, and revenue was also a disappointment for the market.
Bakkafrost's shares are now down almost 8 percent, the biggest drop since July, dragging several competitors down. According to the company, it is primarily its operations outside Scotland that have underperformed, with slaughter volumes 55 percent lower in the quarter than a year earlier.
