Gadget chain Clas Ohlson's net sales rose by 12 percent to SEK 1,005 million in January this year, despite negative currency effects.

The store portfolio has increased by six stores during the twelve-month period ending in January, to a total of 244 stores in the chain.

"The growth comes from a positive development in all prioritized product niches, with an extra boost for weather-related assortments as cold weather swept our sales markets," says CEO Kristofer Tonström, according to a press release.

"The domestic markets developed very well with double-digit growth in all countries, but just as before, the weaker Norwegian krone has a major negative impact when sales in Norway are translated into Swedish kronor," he adds.
