Liverpool, who entered the season as reigning champions, continue to struggle against headwinds.
On Saturday, the next setback came when the team lost a late lead and had to settle for a 3–3 draw away to Leeds after a goal in stoppage time.
Mohamed Salah was once again left out of the starting eleven – and after the final whistle the star's frustration was evident.
"I'm on the bench for the third time. I don't think it's ever happened before in my career. I'm very disappointed. Everyone knows how much I've done for this club. It feels like the club has thrown me under the bus. It's clear that someone wants to put all the blame on me," Salah said in an interview that was shown on Norwegian Viaplay.
After 15 rounds, Liverpool has slipped to eighth place – a full ten points behind league leaders Arsenal.
