The Egyptian tops the Premier League's scoring league this season, with 27 goals in 31 matches for the league leader, who is heading for its 20th English league title. Salah has played for Liverpool since the 2017-2018 season after being recruited from Roma. The previous contract, which has now been extended, expires after this season.
Two other Liverpool stars who are on expiring contracts are central defender and team captain Virgil van Dijk and right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. Above all, the latter is rumored to leave this summer, to Real Madrid.
