Scored against Leeds and Inter, assisted against Brighton. Mohamed Salah responded after a disagreement with Arne Slot in the 2-0 win. Alexander Isak's competitor Hugo Ekitiké scored two goals.

Salah remained on the bench for the entire match when Liverpool played Leeds last weekend (3-3). After the match, the Egyptian went to the media and criticized coach Arne Slot and questioned his coaching.

After that, Salah was completely out of the squad that traveled to Milan to face Inter in the Champions League earlier this week (1–0 Liverpool).

Since then, several media outlets have reported that Salah and Slot had "peace talks", and on Saturday the 33-year-old was welcomed back to the squad when Liverpool faced Brighton.

Salah was substituted into the game in the 26th minute, after Joe Gomez was forced off injured. The Anfield crowd responded with a huge cheer as Salah entered the pitch.

In the 60th minute, Salah headed in the corner that Ekitiké headed in to make it 2-0. The assist meant that “Mo” is now the player in the Premier League to have scored the most points for one and the same club.

Ekitiké also scored Liverpool's 1–0 goal, before even a minute had passed in the match.

Alexander Isak started on the bench and was substituted in the 78th minute.

Brighton's Swede Yasin Ayari also started on the bench, and was substituted in the 64th minute.
