Cut cables and destroyed fuses. It is just a part of the sabotage against telephone masts that is now being investigated by the police, reports SVT.

According to reports, the police are working on a theory that the same actor is behind most of the attacks. All cases are linked to E22 on Sweden's east coast.

There are circumstances that make everything seem to be connected, but it is something that the investigation will have to show, says Chamber Prosecutor Michelle Stein, who is leading the police investigation, to SVT.

The incidents along E22 are part of a larger trend where the number of crimes against vital infrastructure is increasing. The suspected sabotage cases began during Easter. In some cases, the mobile network has not been able to be used, but the attacks have not led to any major disruptions, according to the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority, PTS.
