Tennis star Aryna Sabalenka has apologized to Coco Gauff after the loss in the French Championships earlier in June. This after having made – what she herself calls "unprofessional" comments – after the match in Paris.
I do not think she won the match because she played fantastically, but because I made all my mistakes, said the Belarusian world number one then.
Now she regrets it and means that she made a mistake.
I let my emotions take over. I really regret what I said then. But we all make mistakes. I am just human and I learn from life, she says in an interview with German Eurosport.
Aryna Sabalenka tells further that she recently wrote to Coco Gauff to apologize and assure her that she deserved the tournament win.
