Saab has signed a contract with the German naval defence company TKMS and received an order for the delivery and integration of, among other things, command systems and sensors on four of the German Navy's new frigates, the defence group announced in a press release.

Deliveries will take place during 2029-2032 and the order value is around SEK 8.7 billion.

"It is with pride that we continue our long and strong relationship with Germany," Saab President and CEO Micael Johansson says in the press release.

“The deliveries will significantly increase the navy's capabilities in air, submarine and surface defence,” he says.

The frigates will be built in Germany and the contract also includes an option for Saab to equip more frigates in the German Navy in the future.
