"Due to the nature of the industry and circumstances surrounding the customer, as well as national security interests, no further information about this order or the customer will be made public," Saab writes in the press release.
However, the United Arab Emirates has previously purchased this type of reconnaissance and command aircraft from Saab.
Monday's deal comes after it was announced earlier in July that NATO had chosen to purchase up to ten GlobalEye aircraft, an order estimated to be worth around SEK 40 billion.
Finland has also expressed interest in purchasing the reconnaissance aircraft.
