The project, which goes by the name "Allied underwater battlespace mission network", was formally launched on 1 September. It is the Saab-led consortium Mangrove that will be responsible for the project.

"The underwater domain as a whole is becoming increasingly strategically important and the project is therefore a welcome contribution to our common security and defence at sea", says Mats Wicksell, head of Saab's business area Kockums in a press release.
