The defense company Saab has signed a contract with the Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) regarding a development project for a larger underwater vehicle. The intention is that the vehicle, which is intended to be unmanned, will be able to monitor and map the bottom infrastructure.
The first sea trials are planned for the summer of 2026. The order value amounts to 60 million kronor.
