The defence conglomerate Saab has received a supplementary order from the Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) concerning, among other things, more material and services for the two submarines of the Blekinge class that were previously ordered by Sweden.

Saab writes in a press release that the order value amounts to approximately 9.6 billion kronor and that the majority of deliveries will take place in 2026-2032.

”Saab is currently building the world's most advanced conventional submarines for Sweden. Thanks to excellent cooperation between Saab and FMV, we have ensured that Sweden has a state-of-the-art underwater capability that will contribute to our ability to continue keeping our waters safe for several decades to come”, says Micael Johansson, CEO and President of Saab, according to the press release.
