The defence group Saab and the Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) have contracted to equip the navy's five Visby corvettes with the Sea Ceptor air defence system from MBDA, writes Saab in a press release.
The new system makes it possible to defend a significantly larger area and combat targets in the air than the system the corvettes have today.
The order is worth approximately 1.6 billion kronor.
