This was stated by the party's economic policy spokesperson, Mikael Damberg, at a press conference.
The Minister of Finance himself has admitted that the money is gone; we are now approaching the EU's lower limit for how large a country's deficit can be, Damberg said, referring to the EU's limit of minus 3 percent.
Sweden is at minus 2.6 percent. A downward revision of the same size would be enough to hit the limit, Damberg said.
The Social Democrats (S) also want the government to account for how Sweden has been able to end up in a situation with large deficits and demand that an updated economic forecast be presented in connection with the spring budget.
