The announcement means that Ryanair is now also revising down its passenger forecast for the full year 2026 from the previous 216 million to 214 million.
The decision to make cuts during the winter should help reduce an expected loss over the period to around EUR 70-100 million from a previous estimate of around EUR 80-115 million.
The company also warns of "significant price increases" on air travel within Europe if oil prices remain high even through the summer of 2027.
