Currently, an employee at Ryanair receives 1.50 pounds (equivalent to 19 kronor) in bonus every time they stop a passenger who attempts to bring a too large bag on board a Ryanair aircraft.

In a statement, the airline writes that they aim to completely eliminate all cheating with too large bags, as it delays the boarding process and is unfair to the "99 percent of our passengers" who follow the baggage rules.

We are considering increasing it (the bonus) to stop people from bringing too large bags, says Michael O'Leary to the public service channel RTÉ Morning Ireland.

A passenger who brings a too large bag on a Ryanair flight may be forced to pay a penalty fee of up to 75 pounds (nearly 1,000 kronor) – but the fee varies depending on the route and time.

The main rule is that a passenger is allowed to bring a bag on board the plane with the dimensions 40 times 20 times 25 centimeters. The bag may weigh a maximum of 10 kilos.
