The low-price chain Rusta's operating profit fell during the first quarter compared to the previous year. The profit of 280 million kronor can be compared to 351 million kronor in 2024. This at the same time as sales amounted to almost 3.2 billion kronor compared to almost 3.1 billion the previous year.
"In terms of results, the quarter is negatively affected by currency effects, which we consider to be temporary, but also by the weak market in Finland", the company writes in the interim report.
In Norway and Sweden, however, the development was better.
"Norway had the highest growth of all Rusta's markets, and in both Sweden and Norway, improved market conditions are now clearly noticeable with a consistent increase in purchasing desire among customers”, the company writes.
