The decision to stop Russia's participation in the Olympic Games in Milan has not fallen on good ground. Now the national team is directing its anger towards Norway and points them out as responsible for the exclusion, reports VG.

International Ski and Snowboard Federation (Fis) made its decision not to let Russian and Belarusian skiers compete on Tuesday.

Norwegians, the Scandinavian lobby, chose a hard line and even went so far as to threaten a boycott if the Russian athletes would be allowed to compete. Swedes, Finns and French joined them. That's why Fis made such a tough decision against Russia, claims the Russian team captain Jurij Borodavko, to the newspaper.

The decision is in practice, however, an extension of a previous suspension and also applies to the Paralympics in Italy, which is organized after the Olympic Games.

According to the Russian newspaper Sport-Express, the Russian Ski Federation is considering going to court.
