At least four people were killed in various locations in and around the capital Kyiv, including a child, and three more people in other attacks around the country, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The focus was primarily on Kyiv's energy supply. Power outages have been reported in both the capital and surrounding areas.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Meteorological Institute says the first night frost of the year is expected in several parts of the country from Thursday.
A functioning energy supply is of utmost importance ahead of winter. Last year, a wave of Russian attacks knocked out electricity and heating during a period when temperatures were as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.
