The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) announced in mid-July that all restrictions on Russia were being lifted and that the country's players would once again be allowed to participate in international competitions under their own flag and national anthem.
We think the decision is wrong, Tomas Eriksson tells Expressen.
"That said, even if it's wrong, we have said that we will not boycott any tournaments. But it is especially sensitive when it is a tournament in Sweden that we are not formally organising," he continues.
Three Russian players are registered for the World Tour competition at Malmö Arena, which will be held August 8-16.
