The disruption corresponds to approximately 2 percent of total Russian oil exports, Euronews writes, citing Russian authorities.
The attack on the port city comes after Russian attacks on the Ukrainian capital Kiev overnight Friday, when at least four civilians were reported to have been killed.
The Ukrainian attacks on Novorossiysk are said to have sparked fires. This is not the first time that Ukraine has struck Novorossiysk, which is an important hub for Russia's infrastructure on the Black Sea.
Earlier this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on X that Russian oil production is decreasing "for the first time since the outbreak of the war."
