A Russian man has been sentenced to prison for allegedly attempting to poison Russian soldiers.
The man in his 40s comes from the Altai Republic in Siberia and worked in a dining hall for mobilized forces, where he allegedly put some kind of toxic substance in the food. He was sentenced on Wednesday in a military court to 20 years in prison for, among other things, "attempted high treason".
According to the Russian security service FSB, the man acted in support of Ukraine. He is the latest in a long line of Russians sentenced to long prison terms for alleged support for Ukraine.
