Russian drones have struck a residential area in the Ukrainian city of Odessa during the night. Several high-rise buildings were set on fire and at least one civilian is reported to have been killed.

The attack occurred at one o'clock at night and around a dozen people have been injured, according to the Ukrainian authorities. Among other things, an apartment building with 23 floors was hit, where a large fire broke out on some of the highest floors. In total, seven residential buildings were hit and hundreds of people had to be evacuated, Ukrainian media report, citing the authorities.

Several people in the rescue service are reported to have been injured when they responded to a multi-story building that was in full flames and the building began to collapse.
