Senior prosecutor Adrien Combier-Hogg, who has submitted an arrest warrant to Ystad District Court, believes that the man is a probable-cause suspect, the stronger degree of suspicion.

The master is suspected of presenting and referring to several allegedly falsified maritime certificates when the Coast Guard searched the ship.

The commander, a Russian citizen, was arrested on Saturday. A detention hearing will be held this afternoon.

Following an inspection on board, the Swedish Transport Agency issued an international ban on use of the ship on Sunday. This means that the ship is not allowed to leave its anchorage until a number of deficiencies have been addressed.
