Russia is to build a large nuclear power plant with four advanced third-generation reactors in Sirik, Iran, reports the state-run Iranian news agency Irna.

The value of the order is estimated at 25 billion dollars (equivalent to almost 240 billion kronor).

Russian state-owned Rosatom and the Iranian Hormuz company are participating in the project.

Sirik, where the facility will be built, is located in the province of Hormozgan on the Iranian south coast.
