According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the ambassador will be reminded of “Stockholm’s obligations under the Vienna Convention and the assurances previously given,” the state news agency Tass reported.

Zakharova told Tass that the Russian embassy in Sweden and its diplomats “are exposed not only to a theoretical threat, but to actual physical attacks with drones aimed specifically at” the mission’s premises. According to Zakharova, this happens regularly.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that Sweden's ambassador has been summoned.

"We have received information that the call concerns a drone incident at the Russian embassy in Stockholm," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' press service wrote in an email to TT.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs further says that it is aware of the incident at the embassy, but refers to the police.

Also last year, Sweden's ambassador was summoned by the Russian Foreign Ministry over paint attacks on the embassy in Stockholm.
