Russia Seizes Swedish-Owned Cardboard Company Kappa Rus’s Assets

Russia is seizing assets belonging to several European companies, including a Swedish-owned one. President Putin has signed a decree to this effect, the Russian state news agency Tass reports.

According to the decision, the assets of the Swedish-owned cardboard company Kappa Rus will be transferred to temporary Russian administration.

“It’s just so sick,” Patrik Ström tells Dagens Industri.

The previous year, he bought the factories in Russia where he had worked for many years.

Other companies whose assets have been seized in Russia include French flooring giant Tarkett.
