Several injured in attacks in Russia and Ukraine

An oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai was damaged in a Ukrainian drone attack late Tuesday local time, Russia says. Reports from Ukraine say there were several Russian attacks.

According to Russian reports, two people were injured in an attack in the Russian port city of Tuapse in Krasnodar Krai, where homes were also damaged.

The governor of the border region of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, says three people have been injured in Ukrainian attacks and the Luhansk region has also reportedly been attacked. Ukraine has not yet commented on the Russian information.

At the same time, there are reports that four people, three of whom are children, have been injured in a Russian attack on Odesa, Ukraine.

“Drones have attacked the housing, logistics and energy infrastructure of our region,” the regional head of the Odesa Military Administration wrote on Telegram.

Two other people have been injured in the Ukrainian region of Dnipro, Vladyslav Haivanenko, head of the local military administration, said on Telegram.

On Sunday, US President Donald Trump stated that an agreement is closer than ever to end the war in Ukraine, and on Tuesday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Russia's war of aggression could be over within weeks.

Ukraine's allies in the so-called "coalition of the willing" are expected to meet again on January 3 and 6, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Tuesday.
