Representatives of Russia discussed Ukraine with American representatives in Florida this weekend.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov described the state of negotiations with the United States on Monday as "slow progress," according to Russian state-controlled media.
Ukrainian negotiators have also held talks with the US this weekend.
Ukraine's chief negotiator Rustem Umyrov and US envoy Steve Witkoff called the latest talks between the countries "productive and constructive" in a joint statement on Sunday.
The invading power, Russia, and defending Ukraine are not holding any direct talks at the moment.
