In a post on X about the interview, Morgan asks whether Zelenskyy feels betrayed by Trump’s energy deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Really, yes. Really, between us. But it’s a little more complicated than just my feelings," Zelenskyy replies.
He adds that it’s about more than just him - it’s about Ukraine’s survival.
Losing the USA
He also says it’s a shame that Ukraine is losing a strong partner. Piers Morgan then asks whether he thinks Ukraine is losing the United States.
Yes, but it’s not because of us, Zelenskyy replies.
Zelenskyy also says it is painful that Trump is not taking Ukraine’s side in the conflict.
Russia says the first contracts for diesel fuel exports to the United States will be signed in the coming days.
The information comes from state-run Russian news agencies, which quote Kirill Dmitriev, Russia’s envoy for economic cooperation.
"It will happen in the next few days," he says of the widely publicized and criticized reports that Russia will be allowed to sell diesel.
Rising prices
Diesel prices have risen sharply because of the war in Iran.
US President Donald Trump’s announcement last week that Russia would be allowed to supply diesel to the global market has drawn sharp criticism from several quarters, including from within his own party.
"We are very close, we are in contact with the American side every hour. Everything is moving very quickly," Dmitriev said, according to Russian media.
