Ukraine reportedly carried out the drone attacks in batches during the night and morning, according to Kyiv Independent.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claims in a series of posts on Telegram that at least 180 drones have been shot down by Russian air defenses in the metropolitan area. However, it is unclear how many of the more than 600 drones reached their targets.
Ukraine has recently repeatedly sent large numbers of drones against targets in Russia. Among other things, warehouses belonging to e-commerce giant Wildberries have been attacked several times.
At the same time, Russia has intensified its missile and drone attacks on cities in Ukraine.
