PST is aware that Russian intelligence services are recruiting people in Europe, including minors, to carry out intelligence missions, disruptive activity and sabotage, PST advisor Eirik Veum tells Nettavisen.

He does not want to answer whether such assignments have been carried out by minors in Norway.

In February, PST warned in its national threat assessment of an impending increase in Russian intelligence activity.

"Among other things, they map our critical infrastructure and identify vulnerabilities," the report states.

Earlier this year, the Netherlands raised the alarm that a minor had mapped digital networks linked to embassies and organizations in The Hague on behalf of Russia.
