Many injured

In total, over 20 people have been injured, according to Ukrainian official data, reports AFP.

Eight of them were injured in an attack on the Vinnytsia region in the central parts of the country, the regional military administration announced.

Explosions also thundered, among other things, in President Zelenskyj's hometown of Kryvyj Rih in central Ukraine, where a rocket attack led to power outages and disruptions in the water supply.

According to the local military leadership, a 17-year-old boy in the city has been seriously injured.

At least three people have also been injured in a massive drone attack on the metropolis of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, according to the governor there. At least 17 explosions were heard in the city in just 20 minutes.

Drones over Kyiv

The air defense was also activated in Kyiv when Russian drones were detected in the airspace over the capital, according to the local military leadership.

Explosions have also been heard during the night in the port city of Izmail in southwestern Ukraine, reports the public service company Suspilne.

Earlier in the week, US President Donald Trump threatened Russia with huge tariffs if no peace agreement is in place within 50 days. In the current situation, it has been more than three months since Ukrainian and Russian representatives met for direct peace talks. No new meetings have been planned.
