Russia's military claims to have shot down 159 Ukrainian drones over several regions, including Moscow, during Tuesday evening and the night to Wednesday.
Most of the drones were directed towards regions bordering Ukraine, according to the statement from the Russian military.
The information comes simultaneously as Russia is being pressed by the USA and Europe to negotiate a ceasefire and an end to Moscow's full-scale war of aggression, which began over three years ago.
In Ukraine, six soldiers have been killed and more than ten injured in a Russian attack on a military training facility, reports Ukraine's national guard on social media.
