The extensive Russian attacks have targeted several locations in Ukraine. In Kharkiv, buildings have been destroyed and at least nine people injured, governor Oleh Synehubov said on Telegram. The capital Kyiv, as well as Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro, have also been attacked, regional leaders wrote on the platform.

At least 26 people were injured in last night's attacks, the Kyiv Independent reported.

"Last night, Russia once again waged war on vital infrastructure and ordinary residential buildings," said President Zelenskyy.

The Ukrainian leader's statement comes just hours before a Ukrainian delegation is due to meet the U.S. envoy in Geneva, Switzerland, for talks about the war.

In the morning, the countries also exchanged bodies of soldiers killed in battles, with Russia handing over the remains of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers. Ukraine in turn returned 35 dead Russian soldiers.

The two sides regularly exchange remains, essentially the only area in which the parties have managed to cooperate.
